If SGA doesn't win MVP we riot, they should've given it to him last year to keep it a buck...

Facts. He had a better record, 1 seed in West, his numbers were comparable when you factor in defense and he was 3-1 against Jokac in the RS and they had similar supportin cast. Jokac had better starters too wit KCP still there and OKC startin Giddey. Chet was gettin a lot of hype from the cacs but no excuse this time.

Jokac had the biggest game 7 choke in NBA history at home last playoff game too. Biggest blown lead ever in game 7. We see playoff havin an influence in MVP votin even though it shouldn't. Ain't no way he winnin it.

You got done Dirty by Payton Pritchard

They have the same issue as Houston. Don’t have an actual offensive system/philosophy. Just depends on the players. And tough defense

Knicks have to much talent on offense for that though. KAT and Brunson top tier and they actually have a good supporting cast with experience

At least the Rockets have an excuse in that majority of their players are really young and the veterans on that team aren't the best offensive players

Knicks on the other hand have no excuse with KAT, Brunson, OG, and Bridges on that team. Every single game for the Knicks in the final 5 minutes of the game it inevitably turns into Brunson trying to do it all by himself with the other players standing around and watching

Wit his superteam just missin 1 star against a team startin Jeff Green and Dillon Brooks in 2025 :wow: and the only star on the team best season bein 20 PPG on 40% shootin :camby:
The Celtics were on the backend of a B2B, on the road (5th game in 7 nights), coming off a tight, physical contest against the T'Wolves, and demolished the Rockets on their homecourt, all without JB. They didn't even need a great game from Tatum, so you can't even claim they had that advantage either.

No matter how many times you try to spin it, Mazzulla outcoached your mans.

He was kinda bullshyttin to start the season but now Shai is playing at the level i thought he'd be after their bittersweet run last year

In a sense it's messed up because he 31, 6, 6, 63% TS, 29.8 PER with the best record in the West w/o his # 2 option... yet he may still lose MVP (Jokic) and scoring title (Giannis) bc his career coincided with two top 10'ish-level GOATs in their primes.

That said, just saw their schedule and altho HOU probably wouldn't make up any ground (our sched brutal too), OKC's next 12 games are:
CHA, MEM, MIN, LAC, NYK, BOS, CLE, NYK, WAS, PHI, CLE, DAL

That's a rough patch of games outside of the bolded, and still with not Chet.

Major props to the Thunder, i was curious how they'd perform during this rough stretch... but they've packed up nearly half of it with no disappointments.

Gotta figure 1 of BOS, CLE, or NYK rematch will end their streak but what a hell of an MVP stretch this has been for SGA

I want the Knicks to be the team to snap that streak. We owe those chumps for breaking ours
