Jalen Green is not that guy. He's had one hot month his entire career. What's he's doing this season is who he is. FVV has shot below 40% in three of the past five seasons. What's he's doing this season is who he is.

Their whole roster is filled with sub-par offensive talent besides Sengun, who is not elite. They don't have any above-average shot creators. Nobody on their team is a great shooter. Brooks of all people has the highest 3pt FG% right now.

Jabari Smith, Dillon Brooks, Amen Thompson, Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason; these are limited offensive players with nobody to set them up unless they create turnovers.
It’s the offensive system. Y’all keep regurgitating the same lazy logic about this team when it’s clear as day. It’s the same issue the Celtics had in the finals. Ime ain’t coaching shyt on offense. We have no system. Jalen had an actual deep bag with Silas. He wasn’t getting praised by nba players and coaches for no reason. The kid has talent, his talented aren’t being properly utilized in Houston. Houston drafted the best shooter available twice and both have struggled under Ime to actually be good at what they were projected to be. Nobody on the squad is shooting good from the perimeter consistently. They all have hot and cold games. Y’all keep singling out Jalen like he’s the only one. Y’all keep telling on yourself with every post that you don’t really watch Rockets games. Cam got demoted for defensive purposes. Ime don’t give a fukk about his tunnel vision. He just wanted him to be more defensively aware.

Your last statement is mindless bobble. That’s most of the nba. That’s why there’s so many 3’s being launched. The Harden rockets were full of limited offensive guys outside of Harden but why still were a prolific offense because they had an actual fukkING SYSTEM ON OFFENSE. Stop being obtuse when you’re watching these games.

You really believe Cam, Amen, Dillon, Tari , and Jabari are that much worse than Ariza, Gordon, Tucker, M’Bute, Ryan’s Anderson and Capela?

The backcourt isn't the root of their problems, it's their offensive structure, in general.

There's no rhyme or reason to their system.

They don't try to capitalize on mismatches, they don't move the ball (30th in passes per game), they don't move without the ball, they don't screen for one another with any purpose, they don't cut/dive to the rim (6.9 percentile) and they don't look to create for one another (29th in assists and 30th in shot generation).

They merely rely on talent and aggression to generate buckets.

Someone like JG has a high-level scoring skillset, but because there's minimal actions for him to get into rhythm and work to his spots, his shortcomings end up being exacerbated, turning him into more of a chucker than he already is. He's not strong enough to bully any type of defender, so off-ball actions should be a priority to free him up, but he's treated like he's extracurricular to the offense.

Joe Mazzulla a better coach than Ime

You just said they had Harden. This current team doesn't have anybody close to him. If those Houstons squads in the teens had FVV or Jalen Green running the show solo, they would have been ass offensively too. :pachaha:

Check Pringles' resume when he didn't have an elite guard running the show: Mike D'Antoni: Coaching Record, Awards | Basketball-Reference.com

Those offenses weren't humming when he didn't have Nash, Harden or Kobe.

De'Aaron Fox isn't perfect, but he'd open up a lot for Houston. They should be pressing Sacramento heavy for him.
