Celtics defense is TERRIBLE

Joe Mazzulla is damn near a genius on the offensive end. But he is just not very good coaching defense. You can see Charles Lee is really missed
Brad Stevens should have gotten a replacement defensive assistant coach

Pacers currently have like 70+ points in the paint and outrebounding the Celtics as well. Embarrassing

I'm not betting on another nikka this season named Jalen. That's Brunson, Green, Johnson or whoever.!!!! Jalen Johnson is in the 4th with 16 points against the goddamn raptors. These guys are always playing like superstars and as soon as I bet on them, they forget how to fukin play!!! He got the parlay, but shyt had me shook

The celtics pissing me off tonight. Bad shot selection. Bad defense :snoop:

Fully healthy they’re the best team

What I will say is it’s been forever since they haven’t had home court advantage in the East going back to 22

The way it’s shaking out they won’t have it this year. A fully healthy Cavs won’t be a pushover

Should be good

Carlisle coached circles round Mazzulla like he did that playoff series. Mazzulla ain't have his superteam this time though wit Jrue out. Jrue was dominant in 4th and clutch in that series even had game winnin steal and bucket 1 game.

16/54 from 3 :scust: shot more than twice attempts that Pacers shot. Pacers played real ball. Ball movin, touchin paint, feastin inside, settin up 3s instead of forcin shyt, not just spammin 3s and prayin they go in, punishin all that switchin wit smart post and inside play instead of jackin 3s. Cleanin boards. Just a well played basketball game against these new 2020s gimmick ball spam.

The Celtics have 2 wins in their past 6 games and the chedule hasn't even been daunting. These next couple of games they go out west and I have ZERO confidence that the Celtics will perform well given how abysmal they're playing rn

Who do you think you're foolin' with this transparent agenda?

The Celtics' big man rotation was a 38-year-old Horford and Kornet, neither of whom are players you can throw the ball down to in the post and get buckets. They're not even reliable rim runners either. Boston has no choice but to structure their offense on the perimeter. Whereas the Pacers have Siakam, Turner and Bryant, all of whom are infinitely better offensive threats and have greater physical presence in the paint, as a collective.

But yeah, let's just ignore that fact to push this nonsense of Carlisle coaching circles around Mazzulla.

Tbh, all those past 3pt records and milestones should've always been taken with a grain of salt.

That rule change was still in its infancy of adoption/integration 30 years ago (the 90s), back when the league was moving the line closer to help mfers out lol bc the required skill to be proficient at the 3ball wasn’t there yet (outside of spot-up specialists). Plus illegal defense was still a thing, so a specialist had more time to shoot a catch and shoot set-shot bc defenders had to commit to a hard double… plus no zoning on a star player (it was illegal) to force them to shoot further outside.

Guys like Reggie and Ray became pioneers at the star level… but there’s a reason that Jason Kidd (who couldn’t shoot for half his career) and Vince Carter (never perceived as a great 3pt shooter) also ended up near the top of the all-time list. Bc they played 20 years
