I still don't understand how he didn't win it last year. It can't be called a robbery because Jokic is the best player in the league but SGA's season was textbook for MVP, especially based on history.

Overachieving team gets the #1 seed without an All-Star teammate, he was great in 98% of their games and he was a monster closing out games. Nobody would have taken OKC's roster last year over Denver's.

Yup. Basically should've been his "Derrick Rose" MVP win.

Of the mvp finalists in 2011 (in order of votes: 1. Rose, 2. Dwight, 3. LeBron, 4. Kobe, 5. KD, 6. Dirk), most probably wouldn't have Rose any higher than 4th best actual player, but he ticked a lot of the textbook boxes

I felt SGA was in the same ball park, and it was why i was bullish on him winning it this year. Before the season started it was hard to imagine OKC not running away with the #1 seed out West. And with the Celtics in-and-out of a championship hangover, Thunder could be the top overall seed.. which is probably the only thing SGA lacked last year vs Jokic's statistical monstrocities

Let’s say OKC doesn’t make the finals again, like the go out in round 2 to the Mavs again for example. Does Sam presti go big fish hunting? Or does he sit back and

“We are young bro, it will happen eventually”

Crazy part is SGA probably would’ve won MVP last season if Jokic had won it in 2023 instead of Embiid

I love how this is turning into a Fox/Brown/DeRozan thing when Sabonis has been skating with the fakest big man stats the NBA has seen for YEARS

Nah, refer to the Kings/Warriors thread :mjlol: - https://www.thecoli.com/threads/can...ings-3-1st-round-series-thread.970919/page-13

nikkas BEEN known about this fraud. Couldn't back down any of the Warriors, Draymond hoed him constantly, was scared to take open shots. Sabonis is what people were trying to say Pau/Marc were
