But also this is how Houston usually close games. It’s ugly and always get close. We build big leads early in the 4th and then just try to hold on. Happened against Minny last time we played. Happened angaisnt rb clippers annd spurs And a couple of other times. This is when we need a perimeter star . It’s easier for a perimter player to control the end game than a big.

Sad to say we missed Dillon tonight at the end. He usually hit big shots and possessions for us to close out games.

If Butler was 5 years younger, I’d be open to the trade but at that age, I can’t fade it.

Jalen shot like shyt but Ime fukked up taking him out at the end. Had the highest +- on the court, was facilitating well and was playing good defense.

Fred would never let Jalen take that shot. He’d die before he’d let that happen

That is definitely true. Very hard for bigs to get shots late in the game with their back to the basket. That was the downside of KAT when he was here was not only would he not be able to punish mismatches in the post, it was very easy to get him off the ball when he did try and post especially late in games. Wolves couldn't guard Sengun facing up, should have don't that again for last possession if that's who they wanted to have the ball

Yeah that wasn't on Van Vleet. Just very easy to double post players late in games and very hard to get fouls called in those scenarios

I wished Ime kept Holliday in. Not blaming FVv but the game slowed down when he came back in, our offense stagnated. Holiday brought the energy. The energy in the possesion was just off when FVV came back. It got easier to defend us. We became predictable. Everybody was involved when it was Holiday. The final minutes of that game it became a two man with Sengun and FVV game only with the other three just standing around and watching
