There needs to be a convo about Lamelo's approach to the game, but it'll take another year or 2 before people start to see the Westbrookishness in his decision making might not be just youth.

Man L’Melo don’t care about winning: Westbrook cared about winning. I’ve watched a few Hornets games this season and I’ve seen him jsut laughing it up a couple of times while his team is getting blown out. He has Ricky Davis vibes on the court

Lamelo plays like a complete dikkhead out there, chucks up 30 foot threes, no defense, questionable decisions in running the offense. I was at the Nets game when they played the Hornets, I respect the hell out of their coach for benching his ass for Tre Mann down the stretch because he was actually trying to win the game

He's 100% a more talented Ricky Davis. They already gave him his money too so they can't say shyt to him. Just a joke of a franchise.

I've been saying for a while he plays for House of Highlights, not wins. The epitome of a losing player. Everything about him is immature.

He was kinda bullshyttin to start the season but now Shai is playing at the level i thought he'd be after their bittersweet run last year

In a sense it's messed up because he 31, 6, 6, 63% TS, 29.8 PER with the best record in the West w/o his # 2 option... yet he may still lose MVP (Jokic) and scoring title (Giannis) bc his career coincided with two top 10'ish-level GOATs in their primes.

That said, just saw their schedule and altho HOU probably wouldn't make up any ground (our sched brutal too), OKC's next 12 games are:
CHA, MEM, MIN, LAC, NYK, BOS, CLE, NYK, WAS, PHI, CLE, DAL

That's a rough patch of games outside of the bolded, and still with not Chet.

I still don't understand how he didn't win it last year. It can't be called a robbery because Jokic is the best player in the league but SGA's season was textbook for MVP, especially based on history.

Overachieving team gets the #1 seed without an All-Star teammate, he was great in 98% of their games and he was a monster closing out games. Nobody would have taken OKC's roster last year over Denver's.

The irony of all Payton Pritchard 6th man of the year recognition is that outside of his production, the Celtics bench has been trash this season. It's forcing Jayson and Jaylen to expend too much energy to get their offense going
