One of the most bizarre parts of his career is he only has nine 50 point games. Fewer than Lillard, LeBron, Curry and Iverson. Luka only has two less than him right now.
The only knock on his scoring is he was never a "blackout" scorer like some of the other all-time great scorers. He's never scored 60 in a game.
I don't even think it's that he doesn't black out, he's just never been one to force the issue. Them easy buckets always seem to come in the flow of the offense. nikka just seem like he love the purity of basketball or some shyt
Thats always been a double-edged sword with him tbh; the poster-child “your-turn my-turn” iso scorer who isn’t greedy but also ain’t always engaged if it isn’t his turn to shoot.
It worked out in GSW bc they could just run their pre-KD offense with the 4 other guys and have him drift. But we’ve seen the passiveness, lack of flow, disjointedness, etc be a theme in his other teams… regardless of if it was Russ in OKC, Kyrie in BK (that Celtics series) or PHX the last few years and their need for a “pg”/better o-system
