KAT kinda reminds me of a better Rasheed Wallace. When Sheed was in his prime, he was as talented as anybody in the league. Was great defensively and could do whatever he wanted offensively but was content to play the background.

KAT's always been as talented as anyone but never consistently put it all together. He can score in every way imaginable from shooting to post-ups to driving. Jokic is probably the only guy in the league who can score at every level and point of the floor better than KAT.
:ohhh:

That’s pretty good

In a sense Rasheed fooled ppl with his selectively combustible ”passion” because if it wasn’t directed at the refs or picking on a flabby Euro like LAL’s medvedenko or domantas’s dad :mjlol:

you could argue he was more mouse than lion, esp on the big stage.

Dirk (‘03) Duncan (‘05) and KG (‘08) all kicked his ass/stomped him out in playoff ball, and that debacle vs the ‘07 Cavs should’ve been an indictment on him.

But winning that title cleansed him of all past and future criticism

It's why it was always weird when people would bug out about KAT calling himself one of the GOAT offensive big men as it isn't a lie especially when he's consistently going.

Steve Kerr is an idiot. Same problem he had last year. He'll let his team lose momentum and then put the starters in too late. Steve got to understand you can't go for more than 1 minute without Steph, Wigs, or Draymond on the floor. Really at least one of them need to be out there at all times.

Thru the first 15-20 games, he’s actually been a top 5 player in the league. Only Jokic, Giannis, and AD have been definitely better, yet KAT showed out vs Giannis and Jokic.

It’s like something just clicked after all those years of mental midgetry in MIN.

Brunson still playing at a high level too, tho he’s learning how to balance facilitating with gunning.

OG (and not Bridges) as their 3rd best player is interesting tho.

Lmao. This nikka calling a player that allows opponents to shoot 80-90% in the paint top 5. Stop watching box scores. He’s the NBA’s worst rim protector.

The irony.

I've watched most of the Knicks games and yes, through the first 15 games he's playing like a top 5 player. Paint defense as a center ain't great but his 26 and 13 on 55/48/84 is fukking fantastic, especially if you actually watch how he plays within their offense, having the Knicks as currently the 2nd best offensive team in the league.

Now whether he continues this pace and efficiency is one thing but hence, through the first 15 games

IIRC he said he was the best shooting big man ever

but overall he always had the offensive capability to be what Embiid was a couple years back (a GOAT level display offensively), he just never demonstrated the IQ consistently. However, so far this season whether it be a sudden maturity, a change of scenery, Thibs or his teammates, he's just playing smarter and with more conviction.
