That sounds like reasoning for team success compared to what a player is doing individually
? who plays in a vacuum lol

the dude has to keep randle and rudy involved because they'll throw hissy fits if they don't get enough chances to clog up the lane with jank ass offense and mike conley's old ass is having his worst year since his rookie season.

The irony of folks complaining about Ant taking too many 3s is, he should've squared up JB on that possession and taken one. It would've been a better option than driving it into trouble where he couldn't get a shot off and ended up having to grenade that shyt.

I mean, Ant's putting up 28/5/4 on elite efficiency so far this season

I think the Wolves regression has a lot more to do with their defense regressing than him not taking a big enough leap

Let’s put the cards on the table man

There’s no way any of these guys foresaw him being the player he is as

The C's are sleepwalking through this season. The games are not fun to watch at all. Wish we could fast forward to April

Let’s push the cards to the middle of the table

If any of these guys told you they foresaw him being the player he is now coming out of Georgia while saying shyt like “he doesn’t love basketball” they’d be lying

What they’re really looking for is some magical “leap” to justify the “comparisons” they’ve allowed Twitter to sucker them into :lolbron:

I mean predraft expectations aside (Which you not wrong about), he’s still only 23 :skip: History shows he’s probably got years to go before reaching his peak form

Grand scheme he’s fine

Absolutely

His free throw shooting can improve as well as his diet. That said if nikkax is looking for 89 MJ they may want to figure out the secret to world peace while they wait

JB had him covered.

You can see in that screenshot you posted that Ant's left leg is completely extended out and he wouldn't have generated enough upward force to jump off that step. Which is further emphasized by him having to arc towards the basket because JB is bodying him away from the paint, making it harder to generate force to leap because you're overcompensating by taking either longer or awkward strides to balance yourself to correct your path to the rim.

He would've had to take another step to jump, which if you see his very next step in the next frame -

His next step leaves him directly under the basket and JB has already taken off anticipating a shot.

The only possible way that would've resulted in points is him getting fouled, and with the T'Wolves being away from home and on the last possession, the refs would've had to see him get killed to make that call. The very fact he didn't even try to jump should tell us that he wasn't in a position to; it's not like he's p*ssy and passes up shots in those situations all the time, or is scared of taking it to the hole.

Given the Celtics were willing not to double him, and JB was riding his hip from the top, it wouldn't have taken much to drift hard left and then snatch right back towards the middle of the floor, where he would've had just under four seconds to create a good look.
