Feels like everytime KAT has a big scoring game his team loses, shyt is incredible

to be fair, he's also had

44 in a win vs Miami
32 in a win vs MIL,
17 in a loss vs HOU,
and 13 in a loss vs Cleveland

So it's not really about his big scoring games having an adverse affect on their offense.

Their defense ain't it, and altho KAT is a poor last line of defense, their guards also can't be dying on screens or letting the opps blow (pause) by them every time either.

I think the Knicks are gonna be fine. The pieces fit and their offense has been terrific. Their defense has been trash but I trust Thibs will get that figured out. KAT has been their best player.

I never understood it from Minnesota's end besides shedding salary. Randle needs the ball to be effective and that means Ant has it less. DiVincenzo has been trash so far.

If Naz Reid's ceiling really is just great value Jerami Grant, then yea MIN is in trouble. Some thought or hoped Reid would make a leap with KAT gon, be a starter, and have Randle be a 6th man.

Also Conley being old/flabby/sick ain't helping either

Tim Connelly never gets criticized but I don't like the way he throws money at non-superstars. He didn't need to give Gobert that ridiculous extension and that Jaden McDaniels contract already looks like an albatross. That's not including that atrocious MPJ extension he gave out before he left Denver.

Ownership definitely forced his hand on lowering payroll but I woulda chose KAT over Gobert. I'll never believe in him anchoring a championship team. You just need more offensively for what he's being paid. I don't care about on/off numbers with centers either. Go look at Ivica Zubac's over the course of his career and tell people he should be a max player. Daniel Gafford's career splits look like Wilt's. Center numbers are almost always skewed a disproportionate amount.

T'Blazers just might have found their big man.

I'm just running through this game now, and he's straight-up bullying Minny's bigs (even blocked Gobert without even jumping). He finished with 8 blocks, but could've easily had 10+; the T'Wolves were just too scared to put up anything when he was in the vicinity on a lot of possessions.

He already has the aggressiveness and ability to change speed that Maxey is still developing. I don’t think he’ll be better than Maxey but he has definitely been way ahead of schedule.
