The Cavs have withstood Bron coming and leaving 2x, with a greater fluctuation in resources than almost every team, and yet they've still managed to build a potential contender all before teams like Pistons, Hornets, Wizards, Pels etc have. They've even come out the other side better than the Heat have too, despite Miami been known for their system and development.

Pretty damn remarkable.

Salute to the Cavs for sure but as for the bolded the Heat have reached the Finals twice in the last 5 years, I'd hold off on that until the Cavs can make one Finals appearance.

I've never taken the Heat seriously as a contender over the aforementioned period, it's the reason why I'm not really taking into account their Finals' appearances.

This Cavs squad is definitively better than all those Heat teams, regardless of what happens this season. Both Finals' runs for Miami were more capitalizing on gifted opportunities than their actual ability and merit as a team, it's the reason why they've had just as many 1st round exits over that period when fortune didn't fall their way.

All in my opinion, of course.

I agree with you for the most part, I will say the Heat did the impossible beating Milwaukee (Giannis was hurt for a portion of that series), but also beating Boston that year when everybody expected them to lose that one. The Cavs are better but the Heat seemed to have some type of hold over that talented Boston team, who are much better now but you get my point.
