As much as folks say Memphis is fraudulent, the Lakers are frauds in their own ways.
Lakers being frauds has been one of the most dominant narratives on this board.

Everyone in the West is playing for 2nd place, anyway, until proven otherwise. Injuries will probably be the only reason OKC don't make it out of the conference; every other team is treading water until they get picked off.

It's a damn shame that Beasley is gonna lose out to Pritchard for 6MOY.

For all the headlines the latter has been getting for his 3-pt shooting this season, Beasley has been more efficient from behind the arc, on higher volume.

Malik Beasley is a better 3 point shooter by 0.9% on 1 more shot per game from beyond the arc, Payton Pritchard is better at everything else… Literally. Shooting under 50% from 2s and imitating Ben Simmons 67% from the free throw line won’t get you 6MOTY

I’ll sit here and wait for you to tell me what else is Malik Beasley Better than Payton Pritchard at… ⏰

This is what happens when you box score watch instead of watching the actual games.

After I make it abundantly clear that a lot of the narrative surrounding Prichard's 6MOY campaign has been his 3-pt shooting, do you then try to minimize the margin that Beasley has over him. You can downplay it all you want, Beasley has been more productive than him from behind the arc.

Not only that, but most importantly, he's been far more important to Detroit's offense than Pritchard has given the fact he's been counted upon to be their #2 option most nights after Ivey went down. Whereas Pritchard has typically been their #3/#4 option (even #5 when KP is playing), so he doesn't have the same offensive workload, defensive attention and pressure to produce.

If they swapped places, Beasley would be the runaway favorite for 6MOY. He's just been a victim of the team he's on, not getting the media attention.
