It'll be made into a Harden vs Westbrook thing by fans/pundits, but Kawhi has never been this trash out the gate. It's more than just his usual slow starts.

The difference between LAC and PHX is that KD and Book are playing at a superstar level dragging their teams to dubs, whereas Kawhi and PG are not. Kawhi had 31 but on 10 for 26 shooting? PG 2 for 13?

Ultimately too many excuses/deflections about systems and what the two over the hill guards should be doing. PG and much more so KL have been disappointing so far.

PG and Kawhi, PG especially were playing well before the Harden trade. Russ had found a groove as a role player in the starting lineup.

They were a Jerami Grant type player away from looking good to actually looking threatening IMO but they went and got Harden. And the only real reason I can see is because of the new stadium. They went for a name as opposed to a winning piece thinking maybe they'll get a 2 for one...they didn't.

Harden is out there slow af, getting hunted on defense, passing up or bricking open shots and playing damn near 40 minutes to put up the same amount if not less production that Russ is off the bench when he can actually play his game when the whole point of getting him was to have him pick up the slack when those two couldn't.

Last night was PG's first bad game of the season, he's been ballin out actually. Kawhi hasn't been good, Harden is washed & out of shape, Russ is up and down.. Mostly down now. It's a f*cking mess. One of the main issues is that the Harden trade, along with PJ Tucker(another washed player) pushed Bones and Kobe Brown(a promising rook) out of the rotation completely. The only fire comes from Mann & Russ when he plays well. But these guys are old, semi washed, rich, content, and just going through the motions. They had some fire before the Harden trade and things were looking up, but now it's a joke. Last night was a new low. So bad, it actually looks like the front office sabotaged the team.

Cats are calling for Lue to get fired but what coach is going to come in here and get respect from the vets, tell them what's what, and sit vets who are playing like sh*t? Because that's what Ty Lue needs to do, but either he doesn't want to or the front office won't let him. I don't even think Ty wanted Harden. This sh*t is a top to bottom problem for reals
It goes back to what we talked about last year iirc: you all shouldn't have acquired Russ to begin with. It was just a 4 or 5 game sample but y'all were on a roll and no longer had the logjam of too many guards. Everyone was in their right position. Just had to get rid of Morris.

I kno the whole not having a point guard was a driving force but y'all now went thru Bev, Lu, Reggie, Kennard, Wall, Bones, Russ, Harden... offense still shyt. Only time offense looked good is when PG and KL were both getting buckets and the Batum/Reggie/Kennard types bombed away from 3, off of open looks.

It's like KD and Booker in PHX... or Tatum and Brown these last few years, iso players gon iso, and they'll simply have to iso well and efficiently kickout to spot up shooters, for ish to work. imo

It's over for these nikkas man:dead:

They need to break this shyt up before the deadline and just stack picks. At one point it was all about keeping up with us but we ain't shyt either. We just got blasted by damn near 50 last night.

Start over. It ain't like the franchise wasn't sorry 30 years before CP3 got there.

Yeah we had to move Morris but at this time Lue had PG running point and it was turnover city and it would tire PG out and make him less effective on the defensive end. PG wanted Russ on the team badly, so it happened.
