Charlotte serious about Lavine?
:ld:
I fukking hope so. Hayward/Rozier for Lavine/Lonzo makes too much sense for both teams. LaMelo, Brandon Miller, and Mark all are obviously off the table.

We're probably not signing anyone big in free agency - so trading the expiring for an all-star to get out in front of that makes sense. Mitch could probably get finessed into a 1st too since this upcoming draft is so mid tbh. He only likes so many 1st round salaries on the books at a time apparently.

We've somehow managed to keep Miles bird rights in all of the fukkery. So we re-sign him for a long term deal at the end of the season and go from there.

Ball
Lavine
Miller
Bridges
Mark

Richards
Child Support
NSJ
The corpse of Lonzo
The corpse of Cody Martin
JT and Bryce at the end of the bench where they belong.

That's a core low key v2 :mjpls:

Lavine not a good fit. I like miller at the 2. Y’all should throw a bag at OG

too risky. Toronto is in the same boat in free agency that we are - they're likely to overpay to keep him. and we'd have to overpay on top of that to peel him away on top of hoping for the best.

and if that doesn't work.... take a look at the free agency class: https://www.spotrac.com/nba/free-agents/ that's a bad time all around. swinging out on everyone then being left with the privilege of paying Buddy Hield isn't a great scenario.

OG one of the best defenders in the league and you drafted Miller to be a secondary scorer, ball handler, playmaker.

Lavine would just stunt Miller’s growth and fuk up the vibe in the locker room imo. Y’all need a legit 2 way multi-positional defender who can help win right now. Maybe not OG, but something similar

the only guy coming close to stunting miller's growth is hayward tbh. the pace hayward plays at just doesn't mesh with anyone else's here when he's dominating the ball.

the list of 2 way guards that would fit perfectly ain't exactly a long one. the list of ones we can get is even shorter than that. :manny:

at the end of the day lavine checked out completely and in a bad situation is still better than rozier with a greenlight. miles, miller, and williams have plenty of potential defensively and on the glass. after that, its down to finding a coach since its probably cliff's last year no matter how the season plays out.

I keep forgetting the Hornets have all that salary to trade :wow:
