Pels officially in the contender discussion

They got everything. Speed, Length, Scoring, Shooting, 2 way athletes, depth.

If they get a better coach they might be challenging Denver in a couple years…

This is what we were saying a month and a half ago. They were lookin like what the Mavs currently look like, serious dark hourse.

But then Ingram got hurt and they went to complete shyt. They seem to finally be getting their shyt together this past week tho, and Ingram returns on Sunday... who they will need bc you can't trust McCollum, no matter how many bad shots he makes in the regular season.

It really seems players would rather make a risky pass out to someone behind the 3 than take a contested layup. Seen it happen so many times tonight.

I know no one cares about SGA but assuming DAL inexplicably tanks again vs OKC on Sunday, SGA will have led his team to the 1-seed in the West, over Jokic and Luka. While putting up 30/6/6 with the 3rd best efficiency in the league and his 2nd best player being a rookie. That's MVP ish.

CJ did do this in a game 7 5 years ago though

Since then it’s been non stop injuries for him. He looks like he’s finally healthy now.

If hes healthy in the playoffs he’s definitely gonna be someone that wins u games off the strength of his isolation scoring alone.

Dallas already said Hardaway is their only starter playing since they locked themselves into the 5 seed tonight.

Thunder & Nuggets both have to win or Thunder win & Wolves lose on Sunday for the Thunder to get the 1 seed.

It would be stupid for him to not win MVP if they end up the 1 seed :dead:

I get that Jokic is the best player in the league but it's been a little odd that SGA hasn't been seen as neck-and-neck with him for MVP. There's nothing wrong with Jokic winning again but what's happening with SGA and OKC is typically a shoe-in situation for MVP.

This has been a gutsy effort by New Orleans and Zion in particular. He started 2-10 or 2-11 and he's up to 11-23. Dubs cut it to three midway through the fourth with the crowd going nuts and Z scored six of their next eight to stabilize the Pels. He looks really tired too.
