The simple reason that Tmac was so loved was cause he was the best scorer in the league like 3 seasons in a row. PGs best season statistically he was 8 ppg behind the leader.

I wouldn’t put them in the same boat offensively but of course, his defensive skills and longevity might make up for it. But that type of love usually comes from people’s peaks not longevity.

Also “these kids” is kinda stretching if, these two kids sounds a bit more realistic

It’s not just those two, a lot of the Gen Z NBA fans love Paul George. It’s not about the stats it’s about the aesthetics of his game. For the same reason Kyrie is beloved
