- Probably a first in my lifetime where all teams from the same division (LAL, PHX, SAC, GS, LAC) makes the playoffs in the same year with the possibility of Toronto making it two divisions if they win tonight and Friday.

- Miami could also be the first division winner to not make playoffs if they lose Friday.

the Lakers finished last in their division and are the 7th seed.

Theoretically a last place team in a division can make the Finals, I wonder has that happened in any sport.
