Looks like for OKC to make their playoffs, their ending has to be something like:

Beat the Jazz on the road
Beat the Grizzlies at home
Beat the Timberwolves on the road
Beat the Pelicans on the road


Dallas's path is similar, but having to beat Kings, Bulls, and Spurs (plus OKC loss to Grizzlies), then Timberwolves and Pelicans on the road.


In a season like this, I can't see why anyone would be against this or say they didn't earn it.
