He looking for a way out

It's gon' burn for me to say this, but it's coming from my heart
It's been a long time coming, but we done been fell apart
Really wanna work this out, but I don't think you're gonna change
I do, but you don't, think it's best we go our separate ways
Tell me why I should stay in this relationship
When I'm hurtin', baby, I ain't happy, baby
Plus there's so many other things I gotta deal with
I think that you should let it burn

Blazers would be foolish to trade those picks. They need to unload dame while he still has value
The only thing I'll say in regards to just dumping Dame for picks is that the next couple of drafts are gonna suck.

Remember when everyone thought they were gonna let high schoolers back in the draft so some teams started plotting on 2022 and tried to stock up on 2's? All that fell apart.

The key is to get later picks and cut teams off at the knees so you can maneuver later on while others can't.

I don’t think dame’s value equates to multiple unprotected firsts anyway.

At this point they need to get off of that salary and at least begin the process of seeing what they have in guys like Sharpe and Simmons. If the blazers can’t identify a blue chip player at 3 then the next move should be in the front office.

I'd be shopping Simons regardless of what they do with Dame. Really good teams would say, you know how great he'd be... off our bench?

To the bolded: the GM is only a year into the job.
