I think we end up with a denver-boston series this time barring any major injuries…lakers v celtics would be fun tho
Yeah, "coincidence"

The conspiracy theorists got Celts v Lakers. We shall see.

the thought crossed my mind but if the Pistons landed the #3 pick in the draft and the team that picks #2 takes Brandon miller would a lineup featuring Scoot Jade and Cunningham at the 1-3 really be that bad? Especially if you can get shooters in? Of course your 3 guard rotation will be these 3 (Scoot, Jade, Cade).

3 ball dominant guards and not one of them can play the 3. They’d be doing a disservice to all 3’s development with them on the roster at the same time and that’s not counting Hayes as well. Of course, they could always draft and worry about the fit later, but I’d imagine they’d least listen to offers about the pick.

Are we sure that Cade can’t play the 3 he has the size.

I honestly wouldn’t really consider Hayes much honestly. Seems like he improved a bit but he was almost downright bad.

Either way I can see them working out if cade is actually able to play the 3 at least to start out the game.

If Detroit ends up in that situation then they should either trade the pick or trade one of Cade/Ivey. You can get away with 2 to a certain extent but having 3 ball dominant guards who all need development is overkill. It’s poor asset management as well.

Playing Cade at the 3 would be taking away advantage his advantage of being much taller than a lot of other starting PG. They would at least have to try it or have one of them coming off the and moving Hayes.

Hayes is a lost cause
He's clearly not a capable NBA player
Whatever they decide to do in the draft he won't even be on their mind even if he's still on the roster come season start

Carrying 4 PG's on your roster isn't good use of roster space and resources, so someone would have to go. They'd essentially run into the same situation as well if they got the #1 pick and would have to move both Duren and/or let Wiseman go.

One will have to be traded eventually. Kings had Fox, Haliburton, and Mitchell and we saw eventually Haliburton would be traded.
