It's Executive of the Year, not Executive of the Trade Deadline. Pelinka came into the season with a bad roster. That matters as well. Plus the history of ineptitude and the playoff drought likely played a factor as well. I'm obviously biased too.
:manny:
Yeah I get it, Kings made the playoffs with home court advantage. Really big, considering they weren't projected to finish in top 4.

Westbrook was a trash signing from previous season. It doesn't count as a penalty for this season.

man wtf??? :heh:
AD said samething about warriors offense, alot of the movement offenses operate with randomness based on what the defense is doing so they are "always wrong".. I'm sure it can be a hot take for a tweet tho..

Everything sucks when you take a L

Kings weren't even projected as a playoff team period. Most thought they'd be a play in team at best. I'm not sure why you keep bringing Westbrook up tho. Why should Pelinka win an award for getting rid of a player he brought in to begin with? You shouldn't say he doesn't count as a penalty for this season but then using him as a major reason he should win the award.

Hiring Mike Brown was a huge move for the franchise. Look at the amount of coaches the franchise has been through. All the instability over the years. They had no identity, no culture. Mike Brown changed that in one season. Now players actually want to stay here. Trey Lyles said his offseason priority is staying. Malik Monk said Sacramento is his new home. That has a lot to do with McNair hiring Brown. Who knows, maybe free agents will want to play there now.

Every fan of a “young” team in the playoffs thinks that they are the late 80’s bulls before the dynasty or the Early 10’ warriors before their run :mjlol: . I went on the kings subreddit and they were comparing themsleves to the 2013 warriors. “Remember when they lost to the Spurs bro?”

You’re more likely to be the Deron Williams era Jazz:heh:

People forget about that team :heh:

They went to the conference final and loss to the champion spurs in 2007. They had a 22 year old stud PG who broke out that year in Deron Williams, Boozer was a 25 all star PF, AK47 was 26, Okur was 28, Millsap and Brewer were under 30. That was the peak of that core. The never made in that far again:mjlol:
