I think the misconception with this headline is that people read this and think offensive fouls get eliminated.

Nobody takes charges in a pickup game. Instead of the traditional charge play, call push offs or guys lowering their shoulder etc into defensive players who are in front of them. There will still be offensive fouls called, just not an emphasis on taking charges to draw offensive fouls.

I haven't read this, but just thinking about it, that's what comes to mind.

Also, I know I'm not the only one that cringes at centers or PFs taking charges at the rim instead of contesting shots.

That's what caused the injuries in the playoffs, in the regular season the same players wouldn't stand in and take a charge. In the playoffs that possession is worth the risk. I'm sure Ja thought at worse he'll go body to body with AD

If he's shooting is garbage how is he good? Hes a replacement level player at best. He's gotten progressively worse as the years have gone by, his defense doesn't excuse his terrible offense.
