That's not going to get them competitive enough during Dame's tenure and they'll have to give up those assets to get that center or scorer that they need.

Of what, the play-ins???? Even that is too much credit for the Blazers breh: West is as decimated with injuries and wide open as it's been in a decade...yet this new look "Better fit without CJ" roster still can't even make the 12th seed. And are already shutting every starter and throwing in the towel when the only teams mathematically eliminated from the postseason are the tank commanders for Wemby. 
That roster ain't making no rounds of nothing past April as currently constructed. If Dame does become available I could see the Nuggets going all in on him with a package centered around Murray and MPJ if they flame out in the playoffs this year. Much worse contracts have and will be traded even if it seems impossible.
