It's not really.
Their first four years as teammates the Celtics offense was more productive when they played together, and that's especially been true the previous two seasons when they were the focal point. So which sample size do we trust more? The four years where the team played better when they were both on the court or half a season when they've played better with only one on the court?
I'm not opposed to trading one of them if the right deal came along but this narrative that they can't coexist on the court together is bullshyt.
