I feel bad for Ayton. Bridges got paid. Landry Shamet got paid and just joined the team. His other peers in his draft class got paid. Sarver is basically saying he doesn't believe in his #1 pick.

Ayton's far from a finished product but he's grown a lot. He was the most consistent Sun in the playoffs. I just hope this doesn't mess up the team chemistry.

I don't feel too bad. He keeps doing what he's doing, he will get paid. John Collins was in a similar situation and he eventually got his money.


Sarver has to understand that this is a pay to play league. Unless he has a backup plan in hand, he's not getting another Ayton.
