I don't think players would want more back to back games.

That's a reasonable concession, I'm not asking them to cram 82 games into a smaller window, just however many games they can reasonably fit in 17 weeks. If that's 60 or 70, fine. 25 weeks is just too long.

And play-ins are stupid.

Dude has developed/coached LeBron, Steph, Luka and Jalen Green early in their careers.

Great staff to start a rebuild and move on from this BS era. I'm already convinced next season is an L so get setup for after that.

One dope thing about the season right now and I credit the play-in even though I don’t like it much is having no idea what the 1st rd matchups are going to be. It really creates some anticipation. The nba needed this after the few years of boringness we had the past few years.

That and for the second straight year way more games actually have meaning. All the play in teams minus the Twolves are playing to either get to the 7th or 8th seed or to try and get home court for the first play-in game. For most normal seasons all these teams would've been tanking for weeks.

They will definitely need Ja in the playoffs. We've seen plenty of effort teams lacking a superstar kill it in the regular season only to fizzle out in the playoffs. Ja being such a beast should make them a serious contender and help offset that problem.

shyt the only reason I haven't been as active with this season and only came alive so late is because of this military shyt.

The season wasn't 25 weeks long in the 90s or 2000s either. Players weren't load managed in the 90's and 2000s either. 20 fukking teams didn't make the playoffs.

The national tv schedule had fewer games but better matchups.

It's a long season. Add on top social media and terrible daily hot takes and it's exhausting.

I still think it's goofy that there's even a play-in for the West this season considering that there's a 12 game difference between the 7th and 10th seeds. If I'm the Clippers or Minnesota who are 5 games up in their seed, I'm wondering why are we even in the play-in anyways.

fact is this is why the NBA gotta get back to appealing to a slightly older base...these kids born after 2000 can't sit down for 2hrs and watch anything other than tik tok
