The team just isn't that good.
If they get 8 seed maybe they can flip a switch in a 7 game series but its hard to flip a switch in sudden death 1 game

This is what the NBA hope for in terms of the play-in. When have you been interested in the last games of the season? Now we have seeds needing to tank, or a team that needs to win to avoid play-ins. It even affects seeds 1 & 2. Do they tank to avoid the Lakers, who seem to be back. Sunday will be very interesting....

Only reason people even remotely interested this year is because 2 of the biggest stars might be involved in play in due to terrible scheduling. In the future no one will care about Memphis v Spurs v blazers only play in

Yeah, if they win tomorrow as the 8th seed, they have two chances to get in the playoffs. If they lose to the 7th seed, they still have chance by beating the winner of play in 9th and 10th seed game

Hmm if they are the 8th seed they have to play the Lakers which is an L and most likely the Grizzlies which is 50/50 and honestly the Grizzlies are a better team

Yeah, but the point is two chances are better than one. They'll probably end up playing the Grizzlies regardless. I wouldn't bet against the warriors completely. They got whalloped by the Lakers twice. However, they did beat healthy Lakers earlier in the season and have beat all top 5 west teams at least once this season
