Norfeast groovin…
I had a job where I had to travel and live out of a hotel for weeks at a time so I know how it feels.

Besides that though, I guess allowing guests to come makes sense once teams get eliminated and they have empty hotel rooms and excess testing capacity

Frfr, my initial thought before this started was that they should let a select few season ticket holders of the teams get the chance to quarantine in the bubble and be spectators at the games.

Would be the ultimate NBA experience. Fans mingling with players in certain designated locations where fans, players, and personnel are all allowed. shyt would be lit fr. And as each team is eliminated, the winning team can bring in a few more of its own fans to join the bubble.

Silver dropped an extra bag on that one.

Players would be pissed off if they let fans in and not family lol. But your idea would be cool for the finals.

I can see this new rule actually dooming the bubble. It only takes one person to come into the bubble and infect everybody.:francis:
They'll have to follow the same protocols that every person took upon entering Orlando in the first place. I think the players just need to be smart with who they're bringing as guest and make sure they're responsible/trustworthy. Don't want to have to baby sit and worry about every move they making whole time they'll be staying there.

When you think about it, this whole thing has to be a shock to the players. They’re used to being able to go home and live their own private lives. NBA is like any other job you clock in and clock out. Now they can’t do that. They away from their luxurious private lives and the people that enrich those lives.

I dunno about y’all, but I’d go nuts if I had to live at work and around my co workers for a month. (Lowkey, the idea was actually bounced around prior to quarantine :russ: ) And I fukk with my job. Let alone a whole playoff season. At least they still gettin mils. But shyt, they still human beings.:ld:
Everytime I went on a work trip that lasted a few months the first week or so we were hanging on the regular and getting dinner together. After about a week in that quickly turned into I'll get at you tomorrow.

It's a gamble, these tests are still only 80-85% accurate. For some reason I envision a kid being one that could burst the bubble. They're generally asymptomatic, could be hard to administer tests properly. But I hope not

i like what the nba is doing scheduling wise for thursday games, but i kinda wish they would have those games on at 1 time on all networks except the blazer game which would start later

do something like this

bucs vs grizz - 5pm -ESPN
Suns vs Mavs - 5PM - TNT
Spurs vs Jazz - 5PM
Blazers vs Nets - 8:00 - ABC
