The lakers are in trouble. Fans hate 2 see it but their defense is just awful. I don't see it improving in the playoffs. Lebron cant finish at the rim like he used 2. He's missed a bunch of layups and just doesn't have the same bounce anymore. AD is hit or miss. When his shot is off his defense suffers.

Their perimeter players are either selfish (dion)
Old (green jr) or non shooters (kcp) they better pray memphis gets the 8 and they can sweep them and hope the 4-5 matchup goes 6-7 games so they can get rondo back and figure this out.

I think Houston would be a test, but I don't see them losing short of the WCF.

They should be concerned if they keep slumping against the 8th seed, but now is too early to hit the panic button.

so what do yall think is going to happen next season assuming there is no COVID cure? With the nba ending in october sometime, and the draft a few days later, do you think they will again bubble up in orlando with all 30 teams and start on christmas and just play a 60 game season until april and have a normal playoff start and normal offseason start times? if they did the bubble again we could be getting all day basketball again and it will keep players safe.

i think the rockets are gonna push for that 2 seed

i see the rockets beating the spurs - effectively eliminating them.

phoenix beating the sixers, effectively leading the sixers to the 6th seed while phoenix is still alive.

boston beating memphis

trailblazers beating dallas (i tihnk dallas will rest some guys they're eseetnially thr 7th seed)

I don't think they bubble again, and I definitely don't see 2 short seasons in a row. Too much money all around is on the line. I think they start around Christmas, but tighten up the schedule so that they're playing Division rivals more grouped together. Like 3 straight games between NYK & BK or LAC/LAL, or Hou/SA/Dal playing each other for like 2 weeks straight. They definitely will have more back to backs & 4-in-5. I think they'll go empty arenas route, but perhaps only using 1/2 of the arenas for these cases.

Bubble up and go from there. Silver & company have done a GREAT job with the Orlando plan

You got to run a bubble again which means no way in hell you get 82 games. I would do away with conferencing have two mini seasons in a bubble with an all-star game in between and end it with a play-in tournament and a 1-16 playoff format.

A lot depends on how the seasons for baseball and football play out.

If they were to bubble again, they would probably have to do two and allow families in. You could have each conference have their own bubble and have true, pure conference play until the finals.
