you can't look at MLB and say people's concerns weren't warranted...the NBA was smart going with a bubble, but leading up to this, info was coming out where Silver was talking about they would stop if there was an outbreak, and people rightfully questioned if this was the safe thing to do. It's worked out thus far, but we still gotta wait til completion.
Also, I think most on here were worried this (& sports in general) would take away from people's attention on real life stuff and I can't say that's wrong either when the president himself comes out and says the same thing

There wasn’t real concern, just a sadistic desire to see it fail. And if people can’t focus on/work toward real life issues while also taking a moment to enjoy themselves, well I have no clue how they’d consider themselves a functioning adult. bread & circuses are real...a lot of people shyt the whole country's priorities are all fukked up when restaurants reopening got precedence over schools
