What happened?
Report: Larry Bird resigned as Pacers president because of payroll limits
He himself came out and said that it wasn’t true which was followed by her recanting the story in it’s entirety. Personally I think the story was true as I believe he stepped down right before or after PG got traded which was rather suspicious.
With that said, this is the third high high profile ESPN person (if you want to include Brian Windhorst) that has publicly had to recant a story/quote that they have said this year.
