Barkley suns. Barkley was too hungry. Too big for Marion. Too skilled for a rookie STAT. Plus they had 3 point bombers in Majerle and Ainge. Nash suns defense was horrible.

If they don't claim it as a special circurmstance & also lower the tax line I'm sure there are owners like the Rockets owner who would love that

Guy was already complaining about the hit he's taking between China & this pause isn't helping him either. The NBA coming back $8mil less on the cap & also bumping the tax line down would drive dude crazy.

Barkley's Suns were even worse defensively. Barkley didn't give a shyt about defense, KJ didn't play defense, Westphal either couldn't coach defense or just plain didn't try, and fatass Oliver Miller was their only "rim protector" and he would have been ran straight off the court by Amare.






Solely talking about defense....

Kurt Thomas > Mark West (not that it would matter cause neither would get much play)
Amare > Barkley
Marion > Majerle
Raja > Ainge
Nash < KJ

Both coaches didn't scheme defense for shyt.

Nash's Suns sucked at defense but just looking at man to man they're still better on that end than Barkley's Suns were.
