Sure I'll ask questions, it's cool if you don't answer them though.

You don't think Wiseman's stock dropped like other analysts seem to believe? I know it matters who gets the #1 pick but do you truly believe he's the #1 prospect in today's NBA?

I wonder how highly rated Wiseman would be if he was in next years draft compared to this year? R.J. Barrett benefitted from declaring early when he did as he likely would have went 7th-8th had he stayed an extra year.

He’s just not that good to me and doesn’t have a fit in today’s NBA. He has no range whatsoever and he doesn’t have the defense skill to make up for his offensive deficiencies.

He’s also running out of teams that are in need of a Center especially now that Christian Wood is performing well for Detroit.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. If you believe you can work on his defense and make him one of the best defensive bigs in the league, sure, but what does that really get you? Gobert is easily the best defensive big in the league and in some matchups he is rendered useless.

If he doesn't get better on the defensive end he might as well be Ayton, who hasn't shown us a damn thing in the league. Ayton and Wiseman are being drafted into the wrong era. I'm not sure how the Warriors are going to be able to turn him into a franchise cornerstone player in their pace and space offense. If you want him to play Andrew Bogut's role a few years back, you could just go get Andrew Bogut :heh:

So that's why I'm interested in tremont's take on this.

I’m going to ask him about Obi Toppin as well.

I mentioned in another thread that I am getting OJ Mayo vibes from him where he older and better than the competition in college but flamed out in the NBA when everyone caught up with hm.

It's different when you're a big, OJ was a guard. I think best case and most realistic scenario is that Obi becomes Blake Griffin. He can take that blueprint and run with it. I don't think you can win with a Blake Griffin type player but he'll always have a spot in the league.

His age is a factor in that he’s already 22, so the question will be how much better can he get or has he already plateaued.

When was the last time a player that old go top 5 or even top 10 in the draft?
