I had two thoughts on Houston coming into this year:

1. Capela is a p*ssy

2. Can Westbrook be the bonafide game-changing co-superstar that 2018 Chris Paul was until the hamstring did him (and us) in?

We took care of 1 in a way I didn't see coming, and 2 is looking like good money.
I strongly agree about 1. Dude popped all that shyt before the warriors series and got shut down/up. Shyt was embarrassing.

We all owe Houston Rockets an apology.

Man I'm just trying to get these Celtics fans to stop dapping my posts when I'm only here to watch Jay do his thing.

I hate everything Boston. I don't want to high five Bill Simmons and that's what it feels like whenever one of these little fukks daps my post.

I have them on ignore, most I think. I just wish they'd do the same.

Edit - Looks like your a Boston fan too - I'm placing you on ignore.

Could the dominant Center of the 90’s play in today’s game? Which ones could and which one couldn’t?

I don't think they'd be any less dominant per se (just based off Embiid and Davis), i just don't think it would amount to much anymore than it did in the 90s w/o the same team-specific factors at play, that are universal to any era.

Consider that for all that dominant 90s center stuff, only one of them won shyt in the 90s. (Hakeem)

The rest (Ewing, Robinson, Shaq, Mourning??) were getting beat by shooting guards (Jordan) and highly versatile power forwards (Barkley, Kemp, Malone) who all had well-crafted teams with an Ivica Zubac ass white stiff at center. Hell, even Shaq making it one year had a young superstar guard in Penny, and then proceeded to get swept year after year by Malone and Duncan until his next superstar guard (Kobe) maturated.

i.e. Dominant as centers can be, they still reliant on high IQ teammates capable of feeding them the ball under pressure + having enough gunners to keep defenses honest... and possibly having a star wing to be the closer in tight situations. Doubly so now with illegal defenses out the window, so they can be doubled/zoned before they even touch the ball.

Miami Heat last 9 games: 3-6. They've lost to Cle, Sac, Min, and the Hawks over that stretch. 3 of their next 5 are Mavs, Bucks, and Pels.

It's looking rough and something's up with Jimmy.

Hakeem easily could be a top 3 player in today’s league.
Agreed.

Robinson would be fine because he was super athletic, quick on his feet defensively, and could score.

Hakeem, no reason he'd be any worse than Giannis IMO.

Ewing had a dope midrange jumper and was a great defensively.

Mourning could do anything Gobert is doing today.

And Shaq at his Orlando weight and atheticism would be unstoppable.

Who am I missing?
