The Rockets are the most dangerous team in The League
Small ball isn’t working how most thought at all. The so called post advantages of bigger teams are deceiving because The Rockets are actually quicker on rotations/defensive rebounding now. On top of that they aren’t exerting the energy you would think fighting post threats. They’re damn near spotting teams looks around the basket just to get back on the other side of the court
On offense they are literally making teams play man defense leading to them getting beat off the dribble handily between Russ, James & even Rivers
They are getting so many open looks behind the arc as well because the ball is moving quicker
To make matters worse Russ may be on the best stretch of his career offensively and it’s because he gave up on all those fukking 3s and focused on his midrange which he’s damn good at

I wish this narrative would die. It's the spacing. Lack of spacing since OKC has always put a ceiling on Russ' game. He's taking like 1.8 fewer 3s per game. You can't possibly think that alone has somehow 'unlocked' him. Spacing.
