I've seen him in person once, not enough to have a strong opinion one way or another. I wasn't blown away when I did see him, but I haven't kept up with him up to this point, so I can't draw a strong conclusion with him

I agree but it doesn't help that he's been playing better than Garland all year. To trade him is to bank on Garland playing at a level he hasn't shown you before.

Which I suppose is fine, just a little risky.
why they took Garland at all still puzzles me. I get that Garland's a good prospect but it reeked of indecisiveness.
