Why do people keep saying as if they don't watch Toronto or NBA basketball in general. It's like the most popular (wrong) hot take in the league all over ESPN get up and first take. 35 YEAR OLD Marc Gasol has been sonning Embiid on defense in playoffs and regular season (shutting him out to zero points earlier this year) the past two years.

A healthy firing on all cylinders Philly squad is not getting through Toronto or Milwaukee this year.

No you are referring to Embiid and Simmons at their position (PG and Center) being the best in the conference however this player for player is too cliche. Outside of Miami, Toronto and Milwaukee are significantly better. A player like Embiid should not have ZERO points against the likes of Gasol. That is inexcusable. All that player for player stuff (although wrong) does not mean anything if you can't play as a team.

Especially, with all this spacing and how Embiid and Ben can't play in addition to how Horford on the floor negatively affects how EMbiid operates. What makes you or anyone think in light of all those factors Philly is coming out of the East.

it’s not just about talent, it’s about getting pieces that fit together. Philly’s roster doesn’t fit together, especially Horford and Embiid, just terrible spacing and not enough consistent 3 point shooting to offset that.

Having said that, getting Burks and Glen Robinson III was a great move. If Brown still plays Neto over them then he really deserves to get fired
