1) rested last year and was gimpy in finals
2) Hous/Denv/Utah will be tough 1st and 2nd rounder match ups. Dont forget it took a miracle shot at home along with Embidd missing couple games for Raps to get out of 2nd round.

Not saying they wont make it but they could make it easier on themselves :yeshrug:
And my point is they obviously don’t care.

I disagree with those teams causing any trouble. They’ve all peaked and need to get blown up this offseason.

Define easy

OKC?
Memphis?

There is nothing that fits the description of “easy”

Chances are The Nuggets will lose to The Bucks tonight & The Clippers will be back at second for the night lol

No matter how you slice it Hou/Dal/Den/Utah will be a 1st or 2nd round matchup

It’s either you’re better than those teams or you’re not come April
And Doc has made the observation that none of those teams are that good.

I actually think they care and are at a crossroads coming into the trade deadline. See that tweet I posted, Leonard covers a lot of their flaws when he's on the court and elevates them.

But the remaining issues are Lou and Trez aren't defenders but Pat and Zubac aren't scorers... and bc Trez nor Zubac can shoot from outside, LAC bigs can't share the court like the Bucks/LAL can. Lou Will, great as he can be, is still just a chucker that becomes limited if teams play his PnR.. so he could benefit from a point guard to set him up, same with PG13 who has chucker tendencies as well.

That's why there's been trade rumors for Marcus Morris/Baynes (spot up bigs), as well as Collison (backup pg) and even CP3 trade rumors (for Bev/Harkless/etc). But since it's near the all star break and they still haven't seen their team healthy for an extended period, they may be gun shy to pull the trigger on anything that isn't a straight up steal.
I don’t really buy the on/off the court stuff. It’s a regular season stat. The rotations in the playoffs will be very different.

I guess it's possible. I think Jimmy's taken a step back this year statistically but it's paying off because he allows his team to shine. It wouldnt be a 2011 Dirk run though if he was to make the ECF or finals it would be a total team effort.

Utah is right behind the Lakers for #1, they're playing well, just no one believes they can actually win it all just like the Blazers before them.

Philly is just a bad regular season team. I think they are a finals contender but no one believes they'd win if they got there.

Denver has been overachieving the past few years anyway.

I dont think anyone really thought these teams outside of Philly would win it all.
Y’all keep talking about this “playing well” stuff lol

Those teams don’t have super stars so they have no chance of winning anything if LAL/LAC are healthy. They’re irrelevant.

Philly is a possibility but probably not.

Some matchups are more favorable but you're right.

Nuggets are 2nd in the West how have they been disappointing lol? Once they get everyone back healthy and if MPJ keeps getting better they could be really dangerous.

Nobody expects that team to do damage especially with Jokic taking a step back this year. Nobody expected them to do damage last year either and they didn't. MPJ definitely adds another element to the team but nobody's scared of them or Utah.

Time and time again it's been proven that in the playoffs you're only as great as the performance of your star player and they don't have great enough stars IMO, either team could probably make the WCF but I cant picture them winning it all.

They are an elite level scorer from being a contender. Murray isn’t/won’t be it and MPJ won’t be that player anytime soon. It’s why I lobbied and still do for them to make a run at Beal when he’s eligible to be traded.

Utah has the same issue outside of Mitchell.
