Someone mentioned how ugly Brooklyn's court is and reminded me last week I was watching the game and I think they had on grey uni's too. I thought I was about to have to replace my TV :snoop:

The Jazz can't seem to handle teams going small at all right now.

Definitely something to look for in the playoffs.
shyt that's been a knock for a couple of years now. Teams with a great outside scorer can just isolate him and score over him or at least pull him away from the basket which lets somebody else attack. Plus if you go 5 deep with shooters he has to cover somebody which takes him away from the basket.

It's wild there are 35 games left to play and essentially only 3 playoff spots up for grabs unless somebody takes a drastic fall.

The absence of pennant races devalues the regular season so much.
Jimmy leaving Philly for Miami and Durant being hurt is what really devalues this regular season so much (for the East).

Seeing top teams jockey for position is more fun that wondering if bum teams can sneak into the playoffs just to get massacred by the top seed. The positioning of the top 6 seeds in the West is where the excitement will be during the home stretch.

The top East seedings would be more hyped too if there was a team ppl felt was good enough to challenge the Bucks; like if last year's 76ers team stayed in tact or if next year's Nets were playing this year. It is what it is.

Wouldnt' you say that more than half the league making the playoffs is a greater factor?
But it's been that way since the mid-80s when there were I believe only 23 teams at the time. I think with less teams making the playoffs even more fanbases would be checked out on the season way earlier so I don't mind so many teams making the playoffs. For instance this season if only 12 teams make the playoff the field would already be locked. I think having so many playoff teams at least keeps a lot more of the league's teams engaged since they can sneak into the playoffs.

That's a valid perspective. However, the question would be (legit question not being a smart ass) how in invested are fans of non-contenders in making the playoffs? The teams that are still in play all know they are gonna get 6 games max and be sent on their merry way. I think that having so many teams with no shot at a title making the playoffs dampens excitement about making the playoffs. Now I could be wrong but it's just a theory I have.

Idk.

Fans of specific teams (especially young core types) are still excited about their team making the playoffs. As they've always been.

Everyone else is excited about the final placement of the top 5-6 seeds in the closing weeks of the season. As they've always been.

For the past 20+ years.

Last year's Portland team was a non-contender that went to the WCFs last year because of the seeding.
