And no, I never said the Spurs have never had a bad four-game stretch, defensively. Again, you're misconstruing what I'm posting. I'm telling you that they've had defensive success when Kawhi's been on the bench or not playing in the past, that's why they started the season strong defensively, and have maintained it up to this point. I repeat - I WAS NOT USING THE FOUR GAMES BY THEMSELVES, I was using them to show that they were following a trend. A trend which they're following in, 20+ games in.

The foundation of my argument was based on last season, I brought up their strong start to this season as an added layer. Why can you not acknowledge this?

All I'm saying is he's a great playmaker while not dominating the ball - letting his teammates handle the rock to develop their skillsets, rather than forcing them to play one sort of way.

I watched a lineup with Ferguson, Singler, & Collison get real minutes

Melo played like he's never even seen a basketball before, couldn't make anything & some of the most retarded plays I've ever seen in the first half. Russy was good in the first half & then couldn't get anything going in the second half. Adams cooled off after the last few games & couldn't ever get going. Whole team missed FTs.

All that limping Russy was doing doesn't help.

just an ugly game. once again thunder pretty solid in the 1st qtr..... offense gets worse each qtr. 33, 25, 21, 16.

the spacing and lack of movement is still a huge issue. westbrook can't shoot, but shoots a lot.....when he passes to someone if they aren't in a position to score right away its usually a problem. roberson can't dribble, pass or shoot. westbrook off the ball can't shoot, and doesn't ever cut to the basket. the defense just collapses and makes it difficult for anyone else. melo is a very low energy guy unless he makes a few shots.

idk how much of this is the system or the skillset of the players. i wonder how this team would look coached by kerr or dantoni.

Even 2 minutes to go is a stretch

Yeah, I don't know how they blew that lead. I'm still putting the blame on Donovan for not correcting the spacing issue and finding his "money" lineups. Melo & Russ have to knock down shots, plain & simple.
