I honestly have absolutely no respect for anyone's player ranking list that still has LeBron James has the best player in the league. Never have I seen a player get dominated at the highest level of basketball by a player at his same position and still be given the benefit of the doubt. The idea because that a player can raise a team's floor takes precedent over a player being able to fit in any environment and raise a team's ceiling is quite mind boggling to me.
It's fascinating because everyone sees it this way. Amazing

If it weren't for posts like this, I'd lose hope for this board altogether.I'm not taking away anything from his past but he's not currently the best player in the NBA in 2017. He's just not.
My point is he's being given the benefit of the doubt because what he's done in the past. Similar to Kobe. How many years have we had to hear that Kobe was the best player in the league when LeBron clearly had surpassed him? Both Durant and Kawhi have surpassed him as a player and people are too stuck in the past to realize it. He got taken into the deep waters and drowned by a player at his same position in the Finals and the media is pretending that didn't happen because KD played on a loaded team as if Lebron's teams weren't loaded during his prime.........KD finally had the opportunity to play LeBron one on one and everyone is salty because he dominated.
Just so happens that KD's style of play actually elevates the talent around him to having a super high ceiling while Lebron's skillset can elevate the floor of a team while putting a limit on it's ceiling.
