Exactly.

Damned if you, damned if you don't. Iggy tried bodying him up the other week, and his length/size was just too much for Iggy to recover when he took him OTD. I still think sagging off him is the best approach at this point. Either bait him into a spot where he has to shoot/give up the ball, or direct him away from the rim - pinch the pick and direct him into the path of, or near a teammate, that way you kill two birds with one stone without falling into a 5v4 situation when you typically send a help defender.
You gotta sag off him and try to bait him into a jump shot. If you guard him close he will blow by you. His first step is incredible. He blew right by draymond for a dunk a couple weeks ago. Don’t think I’ve ever seen draymond beat that bad one on one by a guard. He’s usually pretty smart and gaps guards perfectly.

The issue is against the really good teams though, he can get his numbers when they sag, but it does have a negative impact on Embiid. The Warriors were sending doubles to Embiid with Simmons man, and Draymond played him perfectly the first time they played where he'd take away the entry pass to Embiid by sagging so far back it was a double on Embiid even though he didn't have the ball.

In the end, it wont matter if Fultz comes back and has his jumper.

you can peep any year's early season threads they will all be the same full of overreactions how first 10 games decide the whole regular season

it's still the same trash ass east like every other year, the most concerning thing is that Bron is playing heavy minutes for his age that ain't too good but he has to as Thomas is out till the all star break and who knows how well he will play. These bum ass teammates need to step their game up.

the eastern conference hype is laughable

got bucks kidd being probably the worst coach in the league at the moment wasting Giannis time

wizards like always dealing with injuries and coming up short with no real bench

raps like always low ceiling team

right now the east has indiana and new york knicks in the top 8 :mjlol:

I expect celtics and sixers to dominate the east in the future, these two look like they will be a legit franchises

east, top to bottom > west

@Malta @Gil Scott-Heroin @Book the Cook @AAKing23

At what point do you think teams are going to switch how they just sag off him in P&R. Because it can just let him build up steam while attacking the rim. It worked for the warriors but they have 3 elite defenders..

IMO the first option is obviously to give him the jump shot but if you are gonna sag do it in a way conducive to getting him shoot those floaters. He hits them at a decent clip but I can live with him getting those shots in the post season if I'm on defense.

Will Simmons play against the Cavs on Monday night?

Should be an update early in the morning tomorrow. According to one tweet it's likely good news but who knows.
