He was a 22/12 guy in his prime, super efficient, and one of the greatest, most underrated defensive players ever. Super versatile player. His defense on Kobe/Durant/LeBron is a huge reason Dallas won the title in ‘11. Matrix could get to the cup at will, freak athlete, great in transition, great cutter, could post up and hit hook shots, that awkward jumper used to fall especially early in his career.

You better hope he’s as good as Marion nikka. Jackson is nowhere near Durant/Gervin. He’s more elite glue guy like Marion who can do it all not really a MVP level, G.O.A.T. tier scorer like KD.

It started about the same time a certain player began obviously tailoring his play to get triple-doubles every game. Even Westbrook stans have acknowledged this.
It got even worse when there was giant media pressure to pretend that not playing defense in order to wait for rebounds around the hoop, having your bigs box out for you without touching the board so you can get it, and force-feeding assists when you need that 10th one for the special score were some sort of all-time great accomplishments.
Players been clowned for inflating their stats since basketball stats started. Westbrook just went more extra with it over an entire season than anyone in history ever has, and was actually rewarded for it. Of course he's gonna feel some hate.
