I'm inclined to agree but I think it's a tough line with the east being so bad.

I feel like the loss of Pat Pat will hurt and I'm still not sure how I feel about the SF position. Wassup with OG? Is he any good? I also feel like this has to be the year Lowry takes a step back with him turning 31 in March. Seems like this will be a team that can score but struggle to defend.

Still there's a side of me that thinks that the Raps just might be good enough to get to 49 wins in the East. I'm just not in love with it. If I were to fade the Raptors I'd rather do it in the season as they'll still be favorite in many games.

I think this is the season blood, that bench is awful none of them look ready to assume bigger roles....Lowry is going to get hurt in the second half we know this and they will decline badly when hes gone without a suitable backup now...OG i think is a player but hes going to be brought along slowly.

I feel like the starting 5 will score but the bench will be one of the worst scoring 2nd units in the league so i dont think itll be a high scoring team somewhere in the middle and put that with a bad defensive group and thats got to be bring ur wins down...

Theyll be good at home because of the home court advantage they get but they will be a bad road team this year....Alot of those road games against young athletic lineups will give it to this teams second unit...They have both west coast trips early in Oct/Nov so theyll struggle out the gate..then when injuries hit in February could get bad...

@<<TheStandard>>

There not gonna take 3/4 against Boston or Washington this year and they will drop games to Charlotte,Milwaukee on the road they would have won last season....I do not see 49 wins with this bench. As soon as they start struggling they will revert back to iso looks for DD and Kyle.

I think this is a max 44-45 win team that could be in the low 40s.They will drop alot of road games this year that they won the last 2 years.

Road games vs Kings,Pelicans, heat,Nuggets,Blazers these are road wins last year that wont be this year...I have officially convinced myself to place a bet on the UNDER now...

You've sold me.

I'm going to take a look at their 2 preseason games. Been really busy with football and haven't done much NBA preseason viewing thus far outside of a few minutes here and there.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Even if you hide him he's going to be a negative on defense and there's some strong backcourts out there, where you can't hide him. He's a perfect change of pace guard to me off the bench.

Lineup seem more balanced to me with Austin starting at the 2.

Their offense is going to be horrible with Austin/Beverley handling the ball, especially since Austin is going to try and prove that he can score, you can see it coming a mile away where the bigs get tired of him not getting them the ball.

I'll take the hit on defense for a better functioning offensive backcourt, since most NBA backcourts generally can't stop anyone.

Clippers over/under this year is 40 I believe. Think that's attainable? They have a fun squad @Gil Scott-Heroin @Malta
Definitely.

But if BG goes down (or Gallo) like he seems to do every season, then they'll be pushing it. Their defense should be good enough that they win a lot of those close 4th-quarter games too, providing that they work out who the go-to scorer is in those situations.

Yeah, I too ain't convinced about Milos starting. I'd start Bev/Rivers and see how it goes for a month and take it from there. Rivers becomes redundant if you move him to the bench because he'll be playing next to Lou. And it would mean the bench would have limited playmaking. The best option I believe is to stagger Milos' minutes so that he has equal opportunity to play with any lineup that has Gallo, BG and DJ in it, and so that he can still be the chief playmaker of the 2nd unit.
