Before Crabbe had an opportunity what was he? What was Joe Harris? What was Carroll?
You're saying he's potentially better than them but we don't know if he's straight up better. You could be right but I don't think he's shown enough to flat out throw those guys in the bushes to give him 30+ MPG when they know what they're getting from the guys I already mentioned.
