Everybody in the East specifically has to be looking at Philly as the team to match up with in years to come... so the Bamba pick makes sense. They would have their rim protector to pair with Lauri and somebody to throw on Embiid.

It still might be hard to pass on MPJ if you project him to be a number 1 offensive option in this league down the road. The Bulls have talent on the offensive end, but do they have a legit number 1 who in 5 years from now is good enough to say will lead you out the East?

:patrice:

Jury is still out on MPJ's ability to create in the NBA, but we know he can create, defend and has a good J , at a 6'10" frame. That's a lot of valuable skills that you can't find in just any draft. To your credit if you look at our roster, the two players that jump out at you offensively are Lauri and Lavine, and both have shown us flashes that they can be that guy, but they've never been that guy at any level of the game. MPJ has, and he has the tools to do it. :hubie:

Bamba is a unique player, I truly believe he can be Mutombo with a 3 ball. But the question is has the NBA moved away from players like him? The closest comparison I can see in today's game to him is Rudy Gobert and he has been successful. :ehh:

It's a good problem to have. We need to secure #6 or higher before I think too much about it though.

If the Kings wind up drafting Michael Porter Jr, I wouldn't mind if they handled him the same way they did Harry Giles. Let Porter get fully healthy and focus on nothing but rehab and basketball. I think Giles is going to surprise people next year. Kings will be trash again next season regardless and won't have a pick so sitting MPJ isn't even an awful idea.

Long term,

What happens to the NBA product in regards to ticket sales, genuine win/loss numbers, integrity of the game if the draft system is not fixed to prohibit it?

If half the teams realize they have no chance to win in 2020, what does an NBA look like where half the teams are actively losing on purpose?

As a basketball fan, I don't like it, breh...:hubie:
A.The Bulls , Magic , Kings , Knicks all had better attendance numbers this year than the playoff Pacers

B.15 teams “tanking” is hyperbolic nonsense that isn’t even a rationale possibility ... you can’t have 15 teams in the nba tanking as there is too much talent ... you can’t take all of the quality players from the none playoff teams and put them on the playoff teams to make those bottom 15 bad enough to “tank” at MOST you can have about 4-5 teams bad enough to “tank” ...other than that it’s not happening without major injuries

Respect.

My final question:

If you're Adam Silver, do you change this system?

So you willing to give Boston a top pick next year?
