Harden is unlikely to return anytime soon (James Harden's return to Rockets still not considered imminent), and the Rockets are ballin' without him, and he'll suffer from having missed games, and lack of votes with CP3's/Gordon's play, that he'll basically be in the same boat that others think Durant/Curry are in.

Kyrie has the biggest star power out of those guys and the narrative is behind him with Hayward getting hurt, him leaving LeBron & the Cavs faltering without him. This award is his to lose and if the Celtics get the number 1 seed there's no way the media gives it to someone else.

Butler definitely has a shot but in the West his team is more likely to stumble given the competition and the fact that Thibs is his coach and he'll probably burn out.


Derozan just doesn't have the marketing behind him and the US barely gives him the coverage. No one besides hardcore fans give a shyt about the Raptors. He'd have to do something extraordinary & have the Raptors take the number 1 seed in order to get MVP.
