Youre making a case based on 2 games ?
Boogie is a terrible defender...Embiid effects the game on both ends of the floor.

Embiid has passed him and its crazy to think hes really only in his second year...5 years from now Embiid might be averaging 40/20 per game...
he has been a good defender this year and has had some elite defensive games. joel has more upside but RIGHT NOW. there is an argument for boogie. there is a case for anthony davis too

Embiid has passed them both...and it only took 50 games which is amazing in itself...

It's like 1a,1b thing. Boogie runs the offense a lot for his team. Plus he hasn't had the talent around him that Embiid has. Cousins hasn't had a team built around him like other franchise players do

Biggest issue with Cousins though is he lets the refs take him out the game too often. He's the opposite of Howard who smiles goin I h. Cousins sulks too much. Like his motor decreases with every possesion he doesn't get a call or get his Way on offense. Too many times he sulks and leaves his team to defend 4 on 5, or he just stops playing defense, or gives up on the play and let the other team get a easy rebound. I always joke that why the Pels sign all them nigguhs off the street because they need players who'll run through the gym with a high motor to overcompensate for Cousins moody ass.

and that dovetails into a graph i saw from Haralabos

This. I hate when play by play announcers try to use passes per game as some kind of way to measure how good the offense is. They use that to bash the thunder for example. They forget to mention how last years cavs were one of lowest passing teams yet had one of the most efficient offenses in the history of the league. If you can get a good player a wide open shot off one or two passes then so be it. As long as you're making the shots it doesn't matter. Not saying thunder don't need to move the ball, just that you don't have to be GS or San Antonio to generate great offense.

100 percent agreed.
And people need to realize refs are humans.
Your reputation and demeanor affect calls down the stretch in 50|50 calls

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
theres a legit argument that boogie is better.

2 40-20 games halfway through the season:picard:

you can make a solid case for both

Nope, not when Embiid is the much better defender, they aren't even close in that regard. This is Rudy Gobert if he could average 24/11, that is the type of impact he has.

I got tickets to the Bulls game on Monday against Philly... He played 49 minutes last night. Is there any chance in hell he plays against Chicago or nah?

:francis:

I don't know to be honest, the minutes and the back stiffness probably means he's a 50/50 chance.

One of the announcer made the point last night thats its not even the isolation that are an issue with the Thunder offense, it's how slow developing the isolation is. Basically just getting into your offense quicker. Today's league is about getting as many possessions as you can, and if you have a high time-per-possession you only minimizing yourself

I would say it's a 20 percent chance he plays.
Personally I would sit him
Dude was grimacing and played over the time limit in a 3ple overtime loss

The problem with Boogie is he is a turn over machine. Dude is legit great that lowers his impact tremendously. He might end up leading the league in that category.

Embiid is almost as prone to turnovers as boogie is. Cousins just passes a lot more, embiid losing the ball on the dribble is a legitimate concern but he’ll get better in due time

then what about anthony davis? Im still not willing to say a dude 55 games into his career is clearly better than boogie either. boogie has had more dominant performances this year

Same thing I’m thinking. I like Joel but until I see a full season from him, im not puttinng him above any other C. It’s unfair to the others to prop up a guy who is only nice 30 games into a season.
