the only chance houston has at coming out of the west is

1. warriors injury to one of the big 4
2. best record in the west (meaning houston will need to win 70+ games to achieve that)
HCA is overstated especially for a team like Houston whose the best road team in the league

Nah I think houston getting the 1 seed would be perfect cause now you eliminate having to go through San Antonio and GS. Let them battle it out in round 2 and tske your chances.

Still a long way to go though

it's crazy the lack of respect he has gotten as an MVP for the last few years.

especially those steph curry years.

i say that as a kobe stan who spent most of his career hating. :wow:

There was a zero percent chance of Harden winning MVP over Steph either year and he didn't deserve it either :francis:

Rockets need to trade for a 3 and D 4 and i can see them give the warriors a fight

I don't know I think they needed a true two-way SF that'll give KD 20 to offset him averaging 30+. Ariza ain't it. They can stretch Draymond out nh with Anderson already but it doesn't help much because they can guard you straight up and KD can help on the weakside without giving up an open shot. It'll just come down to hoping to get hot 4 times and making more shots than the Warriors. Which gives you a slight chance I suppose but that's optimism. Realistically it'll take an injury for them to really have a shot.

I think people need to give up on the idea of beating the Warriors by playing like the Warriors. To beat them I think you need to have a contrasting style of play.

Houston doesn't play like GS.

1st Round Playoff Exits
We need a good wing player. Size is not our issue at the guards . It's scoring other than our main 2
Nah we're getting killed in our backcourt.

CJ and Dame can't defend to save their lives. So we can't get stops. Scoring has never been the problem. Getting the stops during the final minutes.

Our wings aren't getting scorched on defense.

@Gil Scott-Heroin can you drop some stats on how many points the blazers backcourt gives up on average.....

If it's like 50+ then there's your answer.

I don't know what he did in the offseason or if he'll eventually come back down to earth but he's improved so much as a shooter this season it's absurd. He's just like DeRozan, if he shoots it, it goes in.

The offseason weight loss has also improved his mobility tenfold & he clearly worked a lot on his handle this summer. His Iso-Game is god-tier because of it & he isn't turning the ball over like in years past. Only 3 TOs per game during this 9 game win streak.

Oh and the biggest factor. CP3's arrival has lessened his workload. No more carrying bums to dubs like in years past, he finally has that Superstar teammate he's always lacked since he got here.

Yup he's found his perfect playing weight. He has clearly made some serious changes into his diet

Dunn, LaVine and the Marksmen? :yeshrug:

Meanwhile, Thibs has built the best 2003 team in the league.
So many people are afraid of saying it.
I think thibs is a psycho coach. His minute management is horrendous. Butler will soon crumble under that workload.
