So you're saying if you don't have good post players it's not a good idea to post up?? What a revelation. Thanks for enlightening us.

C'mon Captain Obvious everybody knows you don't just force post ups with good players. But the D'antoni's have been shytting on ALL post ups for years. Back to when he had Dwight and Pau with the Lakers and was saying he wouldn't use them in the post due to post ups not being worth the effort. That's what I'm arguing against. If you have a great low post player you should use them. There are more and more good low post players coming into the league yet they're getting phased out due to this thinking. Seems no one wants to touch a Greg Monroe, or Jahlil Okafur due to this belief that low post players have little value which I think is crazy.
It wasn't worth the effort because everyone doubled off injured Dwight whenever possible. Running offense through or even NEAR Dwight is still a guaranteed even when he's healthy these days... That's a bad counterargument imo

Okafor and Monroe are legit cancerous on defense too.

And as someone who watched an offense run entirely through one of the best low post scorers in the league (Al Jefferson), there's merit behind opening up offenses beyond the 'inside-out' fundamental way of thinking.
